We were saddened to hear that Emmett Miller has stepped down as an elder for Hamby. The decision was made after a lot of prayer and thought. He has served us as an elder since June of 1999.

Emmett plans to concentrate more time with the university students in the Department of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences at ACU, where he is a professor. His wife, Pat, will be retiring from the Abilene I.S.D. this month. They hope to dedicate more time leading students on weekend outreach trips to churches in this area.

Emmett and Pat, we greatly appreciate your work as one of our shepherds. We know you will continue to do great things with the university students as well as the Hamby family.
