Since January, so much has changed and been going on in my life. I got a visa, bought a house, turned 27 and finished comps (well, almost)! It has been a busy, busy time in my life, and yet there has always been Hamby...the church that prays for me, blesses me and cares for me in ways that I cannot even begin to express. Thank you!
Many people ask me what I will be doing when I graduate in December, and I tell them about the mutual commitment that the Hamby people and I have for the next five years. They are usually silent for the moment and then ask, "So you plan to stay there?" It always gives me great joy to say "absolutely!" You see, what many people do not know about the Hamby Church is that it blesses my life more that I do hers. There are friends to talk to, elders to look to, ministers to eat with, children to play with, and women who know that sometimes I need a hug.
Hamby is an amazing church, not because we have the fanciest building, or the best potlucks, or the sweetest music...but simply because we have the best people. You are what makes Hamby special! You all have blessed me but I also see the visitors being blessed as well.
Hamby is home. And I appreciate all that you do for me, and I look forward to serving with you. Thank you for blessing my life, and adopting me into the Hamby family.
