This past year has been a terrific one, and my hope is that 2004 will be as wonderful. When I think about all that has happened at Hamby over the past year, I can hardly believe that we have accomplished so much. There is a new spirit at Hamby, and it is wonderful to witness and be a part of.
This is the time for us to run with the past and embody the future! I know that it would be easy for us to sit back and look at our accomplishments and feel that we can set the cruise control, but I would say that it is the best time to continue to work for the glory of God. There is so much potential for the church here, and there are so many gifted people who are willing and able to be involved in ministry. The desire for this New Year, from the whole ministry team, is to encourage previous ministries as well as inaugurate possible new ones. This is the year for you to be involved and excited about what God is doing here at Hamby.
I encourage all of you: don't allow your faith to sit on a pew this year, make it a part of all you do, and let us together realize the dream that is Hamby.
