  • Hamby Night Out will be tonight (Monday, February 19) at 6 p.m. at Cracker Barrel. Come enjoy the fellowship.
  • Wednesday Night: Peak of the Week 7 p. m.
  • Kids Cafe will be next Sunday after the evening services. Please sign the list if you plan to attend and contact Samantha if you would like to help with food.
  • Teacher Needed: We are still in need of someone to teach the 4th through 6th grade class for the Spring quarter that starts Sunday, March 5. If we can find multiple people, we could even split the quarter up so that several people help teach. Please see Hab and Samantha if you are interested.
  • Mission Lazarus Sponsors: There will be a short meeting after services on Wednesday, February 28, in the adult small classroom. Ally Brown will be here and will give a brief update on the work and new sponsors will receive information on the children they are sponsoring.
  • Minor Prophets Series schedule for Sunday mornings:
    February 25th - Nahum
    March 4th - Habakkuk
  • Hamby Email List: We have a Hamby email list where we send out info about things going on with the Hamby family. If you are interested in being a part of the list, please email info@hambycoc.org

College Students

  • Get Involved: If you are interested in teaching or helping with Bible classes on Sundays or Wednesday, please see Hab and Samantha Adkins. Any guys interested in speaking on Wednesday nights or leading singing, please see Wes Witemeyer.

Youth and Family

  • Next Sunday: Kids Cafe. All of our youth are encouraged to be part of this special time of serving our church family. We will meet in the fellowship hall during worship that evening and then serve the meal immediately following.
  • July 1 6: Iron Springs Christian Camp
  • Families: The Youth and Family Prayer Group is praying for you regularly. Our prayer focus for February is for our families to love as God loves. If you have a prayer request, please see Hab or one of the other group members.

Accomplishments and Activities:

  • Brady and Caroline Campbell are both playing basketball for ACHS.
  • Trey Roady is playing basketball for Abilene High.
  • Trey and Rebecca are also competing in speech and debate tournaments this spring.

Prayer Requests

  • Brenda Walton is continuing testing to monitor her condition but is feeling good.
  • Dale Tacker is improving and was able to attend worship yesterday. It was good to see him back.
  • Kalyssta Anderson is doing well after her surgery.
  • Jordan Shields, third grader, goes back to Dallas Tuesday for another MRI and a MRS to determine the exact size of the tumor and to find out about the surgery.
  • Claudia McNutt suffered a heart attack Wednesday and is in critical care at Hendrick Hospital. She just had surgery today (Monday).
  • Recovering: Gail Balliew, Ochanee Carpenter, Andy Proffitt, Tawn Carpenter's father and mother, Eric Vieth
