  • Wednesday Night: "Peak of the Week" 7 p.m.
  • The Abilene Community Band will have their Spring Concert, Thursday, April 26, 7:30 p.m. at the Paramount Theater.
  • The Classical Chorus of Abilene Adult Chorus presents A Masterworks Concert, Saturday, April 28, 7:30 p. m., First Baptist Church, 1333 N. 3rd. Tickets: $10/Adults; $8/Seniors, students
  • Sunday, April 29, will be the fifth Sunday this month and a Benevolent Fund contribution will be taken.
  • There will be a Come and Go Bridal Shower honoring Bradi Johnson, bride elect of Cody Bob Williams, Sunday, April 29, Clyde Church of Christ, 2:00-3:00 p.m. Selections at Bed, Bath & Beyond and Target.
  • There will be a dessert reception honoring our four high school seniors after the evening service on Sunday, April 29, in the Fellowship Hall. The seniors are: Trey Roady, Katie Roberson , Erin Blanton and Jay Garrett Tindol.

Youth and Family

  • July 1 6: Iron Springs Christian Camp. All of those who will be entering 4th through 12th grades next fall are encouraged to attend as well as recent high school graduates. Please visit www.ironsprings.org for more information camp and to download a copy of the brochure and registration packet. Please see Hab if you have any questions.
  • Families: The Youth and Family Prayer Group is praying for you regularly. Our prayer focus for April is for our families to experience a spiritual spring. If you have any prayer requests, please let Hab or one of the other group members know.

Accomplishments and Activities:

  • Congratulations to Katie Roberson and the ACHS girls golf team. They have qualified for the state competition this week in San Antonio.
  • Congratulations to Brady Campbell and the ACHS tennis team. They have qualified for state.
  • If you happen to drive down South 1st, you will see a billboard near Lincoln Middle School honoring Trey Roady as one of the National Merit Scholarship Finalists for the AISD.

Prayer Requests

  • Brenda Walton continues testing.
  • Jordan Shields, no surgery now.
  • Claudia McNutt was able to be with us last Sunday.
  • Claude and Trula Mae Brown are still having some health problems.
  • Joe and Bobbie VanHuss daughter, Vicki Milburn of Wichita, Kansas is recovering from a successful surgery. Their son-in-law, Ted Corvaea, is better.
  • Jan Hall, Dennis Mims sister, fell and broke her pelvis.
  • Dan Proffitt will have surgery on his shoulder on Tuesday, April 24. He had his pre-opt on Friday.
  • Recovering: Ochanee Carpenter, Eric Vieth, Kalyssta Anderson, Dale Tacker
