College Students
- The elders announced Sunday that Joseph Dennis will serve as our college minister this next school year. Joseph is a student at ACU and has been attending at Hamby the last few years. A big thank you goes out to Cole Roberson for his service in this role the last 2 years.
Youth and Family
- Next Sunday: Youth Devo at the Carpenter's home.
- July 1 - 6: Iron Springs Christian Camp. All of those who will be entering 4th through 12th grades next fall are encouraged to attend as well as recent high school graduates. Please visit www.ironsprings.org for more information camp and to download a copy of the brochure and registration packet. Please see Hab if you have any questions.
- Families: The Youth and Family Prayer Group is praying for you regularly. Our prayer focus for May is taken from Romans 12:12. If you have any prayer requests, please let Hab or one of the other group members know.
Accomplishments and Activities:
- Fifth graders, Alexandra Campbell and Victoria Hood, won medals in the city-wide 5th grade track meet representing Abilene Christian Schools. Inaddition, Alexandra won 1st in the 50 m and 100 m races, and Victoria won 3rd in the 400 m. Their school team placed 3rd in the meet.
- Congratulations to Erin Branton and Trey Roady for making the top 25 for the Abilene High class of 2007.
Prayer Requests
- Brenda Walton continues testing.
- Jordan Shields, no surgery now.
- Claudia McNutt is feeling better.
- Joe and Bobbie VanHuss daughter, Vicki Milburn of Wichita, Kansas is recovering nicely. Their son-in-law, Ted Corvaea, has to have blood transfusions periodically.
- Dan Proffitt is recovering very well.
- Mayme Churchill should be back at her home after a successful back surgery.
- Laura Vinson had a successful surgery Thursday and she is doing well.
