Trick-or-Treat for cans? Yes, that's right. This Saturday (November 1), our kids will help us kick off our food drive for the month of November by trick-or-treating for cans at some of our members' homes.
This is the third year we have invited our kids and their parents to dress up and travel around town gathering canned food items from our members. This event allows the kids to get into costume and enjoy trick-or-treating, but with the added experience of helping others.
The food drive will finish up on Sunday, November 23rd with ThanksGIVING Sunday. That Sunday everyone is invited to bring a bag of groceries with them to the morning worship. During the service we will have a special time of thanksgiving that will culminate with filling the pulpit with all of the groceries. The groceries will be donated to a local food pantry to help feed those in need.
