This evening, the Hamby family had the pleasure of hosting Jarrod Brown, missionary in Honduras, for the "Peak of the Week" service. Hamby has supported the work in Honduras since 2000. The work going on there is especially dear to the Hamby family since Jarrod attended Hamby while going to school at ACU.
Jarrod gave the congregation an update on the many great things God is doing in Honduras. The most recent project to be started is a children's home to take care of orphaned and foster children. God opened some big doors to begin this work that will strive to raise Christian men and women to be leaders in their home country some day.
Jarrod also talked about the precious little girl that he and his wife, Ally, are in the process of adopting. It was their concern for her health and well-being that sparked the interest to create a safe haven where children can be nurtured and taken care.
