Each Wednesday night during the summer, kids of all ages experienced "The Incredible Race," which was the Vacation Bible School theme for Summer 2006. The Fellowship Hall was appropriately decorated with race car decor. Children got to learn more about a total of 10 men and women of the Bible.
Wednesday night was the closing program where the kids showed the adults a little bit of the things they have learned through the course of the summer. After the program, everyone enjoyed a watermelon feast to cap off the evening.
A special thanks goes out to the many adults and teens who helped make VBS so special again this year. During the school year, Hamby offers the following activities on Wednesday nights at 7 p.m.:
- Bible Hour (2 years olds through 6th grade)
- Wednesday Night Live (7th through 12th grades)
- Peak of the Week (adults)
