Parents, it is our goal to give you resources that you may find useful in raising your children to love God and create a lifetime relationship with Him.  Check out the following websites that provide tools on how you can better raise your children.  Some of the websites listed are secular resources that provide information on creating quality family time.

• HomeWord - This site has a wealth of articles and resources for parents to use in raising their kids to know God.
• Bible Gateway - Bible Gateway provides online versions of many Bible translations as well as online study resources.
• Prayer Closet Ministries - A website with a wealth of articles that encourage your prayer life; there are articles directed at praying for your marriage, family, and children; we are currently using one of these articles as a guide with our Youth and Family Prayer Group.
• Clean Films - A site that rents DVD's that have been edited to remove nudity and sexual situations, offensive language, and graphic violence. Here is an excerpt from their website: "We take out profanity and other offensive language. We also remove nudity, sexual situations, and extreme or gory violence. Our intent is to edit movies so that they become comparable to a PG rating, which often means that we will edit out content that the networks might leave in when they show the same movie on TV. IMPORTANT: Although edited for content, CleanFilms' edited movies may contain subject matter that may be inappropriate for some viewers. Please use discretion."
• Family Fun - A Disney-affiliated website that is also a magazine.
• The Dove Foundation - This site provides a list of Dove family approved videos, movies, and video games.
• Family Education - Here is an excerpt from their website: "FamilyEducation.com is created by parents for parents. Millions of parents rely on FamilyEducation.com's trusted homework help, parenting tips, and expert advice. Our advertisers and sponsors make it possible for us to offer this free, high-quality content."
• True Lies Youth Talks - This site talks about the frighteningly negative effects of media on teens.  Some of the material on this is very graphic, but the intent is to awaken parents, teens, and youth workers to see the influence that TV, music, and media are having on teens.
